I offer Events Photography to clients in Bristol, Bath, Cardiff and surrounding areas.

I provide fresh and original corporate and event photography at competitive rates, using the same skills I employ in my portraiture and other commercial work. Your guests can purchase beautiful photographs on the night, thanks to fast onsite, commercial-grade printing.

Photo printing uses the latest high-speed print hardware for lab-quality results your guests will love.

What kind of events can you cover?

I can cover school and college proms, parties, or black tie dinners and have worked in wedding venues, country houses, nightclubs and bars, I have covered everything from corporate christmas parties to vintage fairs and burlesque events.

I bring fresh and original events photography to your ball, party or function in Bristol, Bath or beyond.
Some events will see your photographer taking your guess as they mingle or party or I can create an onsite mini-studio experience, using the same equipment and techniques employed in my portraiture work. Events photographs no longer need to look bland or cheesy, but can have the feel of fashion or editorial photography – your guests will love being snapped in their gladrags and finery.

Events photography for free?
For larger events there is often no charge for you, the event organiser. Smaller events can often be booked for a modest booking fee if it’s a ‘good fit’ for what I offer.

That’s right – if the event is large enough I don’t charge the event organiser for our professional events photography. I simply sell quality prints then and there to your guests at a competitive rate. The experience is great fun – like being part of a studio photoshoot – and sits well alongisde any other entertainment you may have planned.

There is absolutely no obligation for guests purchase prints and there is no limit to the number of photographs we can take. Rates are competitive, with discounts for duplicate orders, and photographs are supplied in a presentation envelope.

Which areas do you cover?
I generally cover events in Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Cheltenham and surrounding areas. A little further afield is generally not a problem but a mileage charge may be applicable. Phone or email to discuss your needs.

What print sizes do you offer?
I offer common print sizes up to an impressive 6×9”. However, only one size of print can be printed on the night. I can advise which print size would best suit the event. 4X6” is always a popular choice as it fits into typical jacket pockets and handbags, but for prestigious black tie dinners nothing beats the majesty of a rich, glossy 6×9”. On the night, lab-quality prints often take just moments to roll off the professional printer.

Do guests get to see the images in advance of purchasing?
Of course! An assistant will show you your image(s) on a computer screen and if you like it you can buy a print then and there.

What if the guest do not buy on the night? Can they see the images online later?
Absolutely! If requested, we can upload all the images to a web gallery where guests can oder their images at a wide range of print sizes. These orders are fulfilled by a third party processing lab. Images remain on the gallery for at least six weeks so there’s plenty of time for people to buy their photographs.

What different types of event can you cover?
Try me! I’ve covered everything from large hen parties, vintage fairs, charity balls, corporate Christmas parties, graduations, proms, nightclub events, burlesque and cabaret evenings, summer balls, you name it. Simply let us know the nature of your event and we’ll tell you what we can offer to make it even better with brilliant photography!

How many people will be at the event?
I generally work with an assistant at larger events but very big events may require a team of three. It’s important to keep things running smoothly and professionally at all times.

What do you need to set up your photography equipment at the event?
Generally speaking, an area of minimum 12×12′ is required – ideally where it will not be much of an obstruction to other activities taking place. We need access to at least one main power socket to run laptop, viewing screen and photo printer. Ideally, a modestly sized table is also necessary but I can provide this if not possible. At some events we set up a photographic background, while for grander venues like country houses or hip nightclubs, it’s best to work with the décor as we find it.

What is your style of event photography?
Your events’ guests will enjoy a mini-studio experience, where they will be pictured using flattering high-end studio flash lights. At some events I can mingle for all or a portion of the evening photographing guests as the interact. I’m all about enjoyable, relaxed, dynamic photography – drab ‘events’ photographs against naff mottled backgrounds are a thing of the past!
